Episode 140: Kered Summer Mix Special
Let yourself go and let’s get lost in the music. The latest in my seasonal mix series was inspired by the endless blue skies, warm summer sun, orange sunsets, days at the beach and those magical moments during the sunrise.
Like a summer sunrise, the mix starts with the ethereal sounds of Alva Nota and slowly grooves along with tracks from Oleg Poliakov and Marco Carola. Soon after we start to pick up steam and get into a groove with a sound that’s set to ignite the dance floor. From the drums of Santos to the disco flavors of Arthur Baker and David Herrero, it all comes full circle with the closing of Plaid’s dreamy sounds to end the mix – kind of like a sunset.
Djing has always been and will always be about three very important things that lots seem to lose focus of these days – entertaining people, pushing the envelope by introducing new sounds and incorporating your own personal style into your sets. With this set, my goal is to accomplish all three, especially the first two.
