The Shapeshifters are the mighty duo of Simon Marlin and Max Reich who are, simply put, purveyors of world class house music. Meeting in a nightclub, the story goes they got together to start producing and the end result was Lola’s Theme which became one of the anthems of clubland. They also run the Nocturnal Groove record label and can often be found releasing superb tracks and compilations on Defected. If you’re in Australia for the New Year, you’re in luck – catch them at Platinum in Gold Coast on New Year’s Eve and again on New Year’s Day at Neverland in Melbourne.
